Your life. Your Masterpiece.

Capturing your moment

Creating Art

Lara Grauer Photography is a Seattle-based portrait studio that specializes in custom photography and printed artwork.

Our full-service process starts with the end in mind so your finished art looks great in your home and captures what you love most about your family.

Lara Grauer Photography helps you turn fleeting moments into art. Our unique style emphasizes captivating light, monochrome color palettes, and bold composition - three elements that combine to tell magical stories.

Whether it’s your child’s first steps, a first foray into the teenage years, or the bond you share through family relationships, we’ll tell your story with love and enthusiasm. You’ll have such a fun time at your photo session that you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!

To wrap up the experience, you’ll see your portraits virtually in the context of your home, to ensure you’ll love what you see when the art is done. Our team will take it from there to edit, print, frame, deliver, and install your heirloom portraits on the walls of your home.

Lara Grauer has over 30 years of experience behind the camera. She started her journey at Northwestern University, and is now regarded as one of the best portrait photographers in Seattle.

She’s had the honor of earning national recognition for her work, and she’s proud to be a Certified Professional Photographer. Lara is a professional speaker, and she serves on leadership teams for Professional Photographers of Washington and Professional Photographers of America – because she believes in raising the bar for her craft and community.

Easy for you is easy for us.

1. Vision & Design

The first step is a consultation, where we’ll create a vision for your artwork. Whether it’s a series of framed wall pieces, or a collection of portraits bound in an album, this is where you get to dream about the possibilities and start making it into a reality.

2. Photoshoot

Next, you’ll be welcomed with a smile for your big day. If you’ve opted for hair & makeup styling, that will set the mood. Then your session will include cold refreshments, fun music, Lara’s silly antics, and clear posing directions. Leave with fun memories to accompany your great portraits.

3. View & Order

The last step is viewing & ordering. We’ll guide you and make sure that materials and finishing choices don’t get in the way of completing the project. Our design software lets you see the art before it’s made, so you know you’ll love it before you say “yes.”

We handle the details.

You handle the smiles.
